FAQ

General Booking Information

What is the minimum stay requirement?

A minimum stay of two nights is required for all bookings. Preferred rates apply for longer stays, offering a more immersive experience in our private estate.

Do you host weddings and other events?

Yes! We host intimate weddings, birthdays, milestone celebrations, company offsites, wellness getaways, and family holidays—always with exclusive use of the estate, ensuring privacy and a personalized experience. A two-night minimum stay applies.

What types of groups or events are best suited for the palace?

The estate is ideal for:

  • Birthday getaways
  • Corporate retreats & creative workshops
  • Intimate weddings, anniversaries & milestone celebrations
  • Wellness retreats & yoga getaways
  • Family reunions & private gatherings

We specialize in small groups looking for a private, one-of-a-kind experience where the castle becomes your home.

What is the maximum capacity for guests?

The palace accommodates up to 46 overnight guests in its suites and rooms. For weddings and special events, our ballroom seats up to 50 guests comfortably.

For larger gatherings, up to 74 guests can be accommodated with externally rented furniture and tableware. The setup assumes three long tables, a head table for 8, and one round table for 6.

Infants and toddlers (who do not require a seat) can be accommodated beyond this number. Two highchairs are available onsite.

Please note: Outside of special dinners or events, the castle is reserved for overnight guests only. The dining areas, terrace, and other facilities (such as seating, dishware, and restrooms) are designed to accommodate overnight guests only.

Can I tour The Palace at Osowa Sien before booking?

We offer a virtual tour for group organizers to explore the space remotely. An in-person tour is available by appointment when the estate is not occupied by an exclusive group stay. Alternatively, you can visit during one of our individual suite stays (non-exclusive periods) to experience our hospitality, services, and atmosphere firsthand.

Can I visit the palace multiple times while planning my wedding or event?

We’re happy to offer one complimentary site visit, depending on the palace’s availability. If you’d like to visit again, additional appointments can be arranged when our schedule allows, though a fee applies—as we’re not open daily. For ongoing inspiration, there’s always our virtual tour to revisit anytime.

Is The Palace at Osowa Sien open to the public?

No, the palace is a private estate. To ensure a peaceful and intimate atmosphere, both the castle and its grounds are closed to outside visitors, allowing our guests to fully enjoy the space as their own during their stay.

Can I host a photo session at the palace or on the grounds?

Yes. The palace and grounds provide a stunning backdrop for weddings, portraits, and commercial shoots. We offer paid outdoor or full-access sessions, including interiors. Contact us for pricing and availability.

When is Arrival and Departure from/until?

  • Arrival & Check-in: From 15:00
  • Check-out: Guest suites by 11:00, final departure by 11:30

Can we or our vendors arrive early or leave later?

Your rental is from 15:00 to 11:30. This means no early drop-offs, no vendor setups, and no catering preparations before 15:00. Similarly, no late departures are allowed after 11:30. All vendors must take down and clean up their areas, including removing their garbage and equipment, before 11:30.

Planning a wedding or event? Make sure everything—including vendor arrivals, setup, and guest timing—fits within your rental period. A 13:00 or 14:00 ceremony won’t work as your rental begins at 15:00.

Occasionally, closer to your date, early access may be possible if the palace isn’t booked by another group. This can only be confirmed about a week in advance. Additional fees apply.

How do I book my group stay?

To inquire about availability, email jamie@castlerental.com or WhatsApp us at +48 578 900 222 with:

  • Your preferred dates / season / year
  • Approximate number of guests
  • Type of event (wedding, retreat, family gathering, etc.)
  • Any special requests

We’ll get back to you promptly with availability, pricing, and a tailored offer.

What is your cancellation policy?

Bookings are confirmed with a signed contract and a non-refundable 35% deposit. However, in cases of family emergencies, lockdowns, or extenuating circumstances, we will assist in rescheduling or issuing a voucher valid for 12 months.

Dining & Catering Options

Is there a restaurant on-site? Can we dine without staying overnight?

The palace is a private estate, not a restaurant or hotel. However, overnight guests have flexible dining options when arranged in advance:

  • Self-catering in our fully equipped kitchen
  • Bringing in a private chef of your choice
  • Stock-the-Pantry service with fresh, local ingredients
  • Our Farm-to-table dining, tailored to your group’s dietary needs

You're welcome to mix and match these options. There are also local foodie experiences to consider, including Neapolitan-style pizza, made fresh onsite, and sushi, available via delivery, a mobile sushi bar, or an on-site chef experience.

Can we bring our own caterers or service providers?

Yes. However, they’re expected to clean up after themselves—this means taking their garbage, removing all equipment, and leaving the space as they found it.

Caterers must tidy the kitchen and dining areas, including washing all dishes, pots, and pans, wiping down surfaces, and disposing of waste before departure at 11:30.

Depending on availability, local maids can be hired to help with general cleaning and tidying during your stay (costs apply).

Can we hire local maids to also prepare and serve our meals?

No, our maids specialize in keeping spaces tidy and are not food service personnel. They do not handle meal preparation, plating, or service, though they can assist you or your caterers with washing up.

If you need servers to heat, plate, and serve food, or manage the dining experience, we recommend asking your caterer for suggestions. It’s usually best for them to bring a team they know and trust, familiar with their food, your allergies, and any special requirements.

Do you have bartenders onsite who can prepare cocktails for our guests?

No, we don’t have in-house bartenders. However, we recommend this local bar team that offers a range of unique and full-service options, as well as this nifty retro mobile bar.

Accommodation & Comfort

How many individual beds are there?

The palace offers up to 40 individual beds, accommodating a maximum of 46 guests. Many beds can be arranged as either doubles or singles, providing flexible sleeping options based on your group’s needs. Infants and toddlers (who don’t require a regular bed) can be counted beyond this limit. We also have three cribs, a toddler cot, and a small bed available onsite.

Can I book a suite as an individual or couple?

While the palace is primarily reserved for exclusive group stays, we occasionally offer individual suites for solo travelers, couples, or small groups of guests. These dates are limited—please contact us directly for questions about availability.

Available dates for individual suite reservations: 30 June and 4 July 2025.

Are there hotels nearby where extra guests can stay?

Yes! Groups have previously chosen to book rooms at Mały Bór, Zamek Królewski we Wschowie, and Toscania. These accommodations are conveniently located just 8 to 12 minutes' drive from the castle, making them great options for additional guests. Local taxis or shuttles can be hired to transport guests to and from the castle and their accommodations.

What local charter companies are available for transportation?

Whether you need a taxi, a small charter, or a bus for a larger group, there are several options available:

  • Taxi: Henryk | +48 601 584 665 (text)

Yes, there are several churches in nearby Wschowa (just 5 km away). Two popular choices for a Catholic wedding ceremony are:

Kościół pw. św. Stanisława Biskupa i Męczennika
A historic Gothic-Baroque church located in the heart of Wschowa.

Kościół pw. św. Józefa Oblubieńca Najświętszej Maryi Panny
A serene church offering a majestic setting for your ceremony.

Please note that in Poland, Catholic weddings must be held within a church and cannot take place outside the church property.

For civil ceremonies, you can contact the Wschowa Town Hall:

Phone: +48 65 540 33 00

Note on Symbolic/Humanist Ceremonies:
A popular option for couples is a symbolic or humanist ceremony, where a friend, family member, or professional officiates in an honorary capacity. This type of ceremony offers a highly personal and intimate experience. It also allows for flexibility in location—many couples choose to have their ceremony in the castle park or within the castle itself, depending on the season and weather, making for a truly unique and memorable celebration.
