Das Zinnparadies

Design Inspirations:

The Zinnparadies suite embraces muted elegance with a palette of tin gray, antiqued silver, and cerulean blue. Original exposed beams from the 1870s contrast beautifully with modern design elements like plush seating and mango wood side tables. Occulus windows flood the space with natural light, adding a unique touch of charm and refinement.

Historical Background:

Inspired by Leonie Ossowski's Das Zinnparadies (The Tin Paradise), the suite reflects themes of reconnection and nostalgia. The novel follows Maria's return to her childhood castle after 40 years, where she confronts memories of the past and the inevitable changes brought by time. Drawing from Leonie’s own experiences, a tin lion gifted to Maria by a young boy becomes a poignant symbol of her emotional journey—representing the fragile connection between past and present, and the healing process of reconciling with her personal history. The suite embodies this blend of reflection, memory, and rediscovery.
